Cleveland Browns Reportedly Meeting With Deshaun Watson
New reports suggest Cleveland could be interested in the Houston Texans quarterback.
CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns will meet with controversial quarterback Deshaun Watson on Tuesday, according to a report
The Browns are one of several teams interested in Watson, including the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. Watson has a no-trade clause in his contract, so he would have to approve any trade sending him to a new team, according to Pro Football Network, which first reported Watson's meeting with Cleveland.
Watson did not play last season after he was accused of sexual misconduct by several women. However, a grand jury chose not to indict him this week, Yahoo reported, making him a more attractive trade target for NFL teams.

Cleveland is in a sticky situation with its current quarterback Baker Mayfield. The former No.1 overall pick has had an up-and-down career. He took the Browns to the playoffs in 2020, winning their first round game against the Pittsburgh Steelers before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Browns came into the 2021 season with high expectations but struggled out of the gate. The team lost a rematch with Kansas City in Week 1 and then limped to an 8-9 record. Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Steelers ended the season with better records than the Browns.
