Cleveland Clinic Doctor and Libertarian Presidential Hopeful Found Dead in Motel

Marc A. Feldman was a Cleveland Clinic doctor and a 2016 Libertarian Party presidential candidate, he also ran for Attorney General in 2010.

Cleveland Clinic physician, Marc A. Feldman, 56, of Beachwood was a doctor who also had political aspirations. Feldman was discovered unresponsive in his room by a Brook Park motel employee Wednesday evening.

Cleveland.com reports that Feldman was found at America's Best Value Inn in Brookpark. Cause of death has not been released by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.

Politically active, Feldman ran for President with the Libertarian party but lost the nomination to former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson. Even after losing the Libertarian nomination, Feldman remained politically active, contributing to his Twitter account @VotesNotForSale almost daily. His final tweet is posted below:

Feldman's bid for the presidency was not his only run for elected office, he ran for Attorney General in 2010 and lost, garnering less than 3 percent of the vote.

The Cleveland Clinic's website lists Feldman as the section head of anesthesia for the Cole Eye Institute and director of the Cole Eye Institute Operating Rooms at the Cleveland Clinic.
