Cleveland Clinic's Toby Cosgrove is 1 of 16 CEOs on Trump's New 'Strategic and Policy Forum'
The 16-member group will be called upon by President-elect Trump to offer their insights on economic growth, job creation and productivity.

CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove has been chosen by President-elect Donald Trump to be a member of the president’s Strategic and Policy Forum.
“I am truly honored and privileged to take part in President-elect Donald Trump’s Strategic and Policy Forum designed to grow and strengthen the United States’ economy," Cosgrove said in a statement released by the Cleveland Clinic on Friday. "I applaud his efforts to bring together leaders across industries to gain insight that will assist the new President in making important decisions that will impact every American. I am deeply committed and take this role very seriously,” he said.
According to a news release from Trump's New York office, members of this forum “will be charged with providing their individual views to the President—informed by their unique vantage points in the private sector—on how government policy impacts economic growth, job creation, and productivity.” Input is meant to be delivered to the president in a “frank, non-bureaucratic, and non-partisan manner.”

Trump ran on a promise of bringing back jobs, and this wide-ranging collection of successful business leaders will be called upon frequently to help steer him toward that goal, according to the release.
“This forum brings together CEOs and business leaders who know what it takes to create jobs and drive economic growth,” said President-elect Trump. “My administration is committed to drawing on private sector expertise and cutting the government red tape that is holding back our businesses from hiring, innovating, and expanding right here in America.”
The forum will be chaired by Stephen A. Schwarzman, chairman, CEO and co-founder of Blackstone, and the first meeting of the forum will be held at The White House early in February.
