Cleveland Opens Fountains In Public Square

To celebrate Spring and Summer Cleveland will be opening the fountains in Public Square on Apr. 11 for the public to enjoy.

From Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District: Celebrate the Spring and Summer seasons in Public Square with the "opening of the fountains."Stop by Public Square Tuesday, April 11th at 12:30 pm to watch as one of downtown Cleveland's most popular attractions is activated. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District has partnered with the Public Square Programming and Operations team to celebrate the season ahead.Winners of the World Water Day 2017 Poster Contest will also be announced.

Area students were asked to draw posters to illustrate how their families enjoy Lake Erie or other local waterways.The water fountains are the featured attraction in Public Square's Cleveland Foundation Centennial Plaza on the southern half of The Square. The fountains encompass 18,600 square feet and include a child-safe mirror pond.The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is a Key Partner for Public Square, leading a green infrastructure project for The Square.
