CLEVELAND, OH —The Cleveland Division of Police is asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle that authorities said was involved in a fatal hit-and-run Sunday night. The collision resulted in the death of a 9-year-old boy.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:49 p.m. in the 4000 block of Bohn Road. Police said they are looking for an unidentified dark colored SUV.

According to police reports, the victim ran between two legally parked vehicles and into the traffic way, where he was struck by the vehicle.

The impact caused the victim to be launched forward and then run over by the vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene, police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact investigators at 216-623-5295. Police said that anonymous information can be provided by calling CrimeStoppers at 216-25-CRIME. A cash reward of up to $5000 may be available, according to police.
