Cleveland's St. Patrick's Day Parade Returns March 17
After a two-year hiatus, one of the region's most-beloved events will make its return.
CLEVELAND — Cleveland's beloved St. Patrick's Day Parade will make its long-awaited return on March 17.
Parade participants will assemble between East 18th and Superior to East 22nd and Superior. The National Anthems of both Ireland and the U.S. will be performed at 1 p.m. and the parade will step off at 1:04 p.m.
The parade will begin on Superior Ave. at E. 18th St. and will end at the intersection of Rockwell Ave. and Ontario St., according to the parade website.

This year's parade will feature honorees for both 2020 and 2022, including Grand Marshal Tom Scanlon, Irish Mother Kathleen Mangan, and Parade Co-Chairs Chris Cooper and Maureen Mohney. The theme for this year's festivities is Ireland's Scenic Coastlines.
Previous parades have included as many as 10,000 participants, broken into 125 units.

Like so many festivals, the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The parade is one of the most-attended events in Cleveland annually and it's loss was felt acutely throughout Northeast Ohio.
With case rates and hospitalized patient levels crumbling, many iconic events will attempt returns in 2022, including Cleveland's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
