Deadly Motorcycle Accident On I-480 On Sunday
One person is dead after a motorcyclist crashed into the back of a stopped Ford Mustang on I-480.
CLEVELAND — A motorcyclist was killed after a traffic accident on I-480 on Sunday.
At 4:30 p.m., David Dragich, 58, was riding his bike east through Independence when he struck a Ford Mustang that was stopped in traffic, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Dragich was not wearing a helmet. He was taken from the scene to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, the Highway Patrol said.

The driver of the Mustang, and two girls inside the car, were checked by EMS after the accident. All three were allowed to leave and had no injuries, the Patrol added.
Investigators are still learning what caused the crash and what Dragich's condition was prior to the accident.

Dragich is the 91st person killed on Cuyahoga County roads in 2021 and the 19th motorcycle-related death, the Highway Patrol said.
