Deshaun Watson Coming To The Cleveland Browns: Report
The quarterback drama continues in Northeast Ohio, with reports now suggesting Cleveland has traded for Deshaun Watson.
CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns will trade for controversial Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, according to reports.
News of Watson's trade to Cleveland was first broken by Ian Rappaport of the NFL Network. The quarterback is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Browns after waiving his no-trade clause for the deal.
Watson missed all of last season after he was accused of sexual misconduct by a number of women. However, a grand jury chose not to indict him this week, Yahoo reported, making him a more attractive trade target for NFL teams. He still faces 22 civil suits accusing him of forcing women to perform oral sex on him, groping women, and other sexual offenses, the Athletic reported.

The Browns' interest in Watson broke earlier this week, stirring issues with the team's current quarterback Baker Mayfield. The former No. 1 pick then requested a trade away from the team, was denied, and now appears to be on the shopping block again.
The Browns came into the 2021 season with high expectations but struggled out of the gate. The team lost a rematch with Kansas City in Week 1 and then limped to an 8-9 record. Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Steelers ended the season with better records than the Browns.
