Donald Trump Is Not Trending With Ohio Gov. John Kasich

Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he is prepared to go to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland without endorsing Trump.

In an interview with Fox News Thursday morning, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said that his differences with presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump are influencing his endorsement.

Even with Ohio hosting the Republican convention in just a little over a month, Kasich told Fox News he’s “absolutely” prepared to go up to Cleveland without endorsing Trump.

When asked if he would endorse Trump, Kasich compared his support for Trump to Twitter, by saying, "If you look at Twitter, they have this thing called Trending, it's trending poorly."

Kasich added, “We’re like two companies, you know, we have a different vision, a different value system and a different objective. … The divisiveness, the division, the name-calling, it just doesn’t go down well with me.”

Kasich also emphatically ruled out the possibility of joining Trump on the Republican ticket as vice presidential running mate.

The former presidential candidate also touched upon Trump's comments about the federal judge on the Trump University lawsuit and his Mexican heritage being a possible conflict of interest. Kasich said that Trump's comment was "just terrible."

Kasich didn't completely rule out getting behind Trump, saying that "he could change," however, he qualified that statement by saying, “I'm not going to endorse Hillary Clinton, that's for sure.”
