CLEVELAND, OH — The beginning of the holiday season is upon us and holiday parties, festivities and merrymaking also start to happen the first weekend of December. Often, alcohol is part of those festivities.

The Cleveland Division of Police will be conducting a DUI/OVI checkpoint Friday night, December 2, 2016 at Baxter and Broadway avenues from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Police say that the goal is to reduce the number of alcohol/impaired related accidents and to make the roadways safe for all drivers. Also, to educate safe driving habits and increase safety belt use.
