Dump Truck Hits Highway Sign On I-77

Parts of I-77 were closed Tuesday morning after a dump truck struck an overhead highway sign.

INDEPENDENCE, OH — An overhead sign on I-77 was hit by a dump truck on Tuesday morning.

The Ohio Highway Patrol arrived at the accident at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to News 5. They now believe the dump truck's bed was raised, which caused the collision with the pole that dislodged the sign.

The dump truck driver was taken care of by EMS after the accident. He reportedly suffered only "minor injuries."
