Frank Q. Jackson, Cleveland Mayor's Grandson, Killed In Shooting
Mayor Frank Jackson's grandson was shot and killed on Sunday night.

CLEVELAND — Frank Q. Jackson, the grandson of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, was shot and killed on Sunday night.
The shooting happened at approximately 9 p.m., near Sidaway and E. 70th St., Cleveland police said. Investigators have not revealed what may have led to the shooting.
On Monday morning, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office confirmed that Jackson's death is being investigated as a homicide. They also said the 24-year-old was found dead in a yard.

Mayor Jackson and Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams both appeared near the scene of the shooting after police cordoned the area off on Sunday evening, according to News 5. The mayor remained at the scene until just after midnight.

No suspects have yet been identified.

In 2019, Frank Q. Jackson was investigated after a woman accused him of attacking her in the parking lot of a gas station. Mayor Jackson had previously defended his relationship with his grandson, arguing he never interfered in any police investigations related to Frank Q.
