Free COVID-19 Testing Site Opening Tuesday In Cleveland

The Ohio National Guard and the Ohio Department of Health will run a drive-thru testing site in University Circle.

CLEVELAND — The Ohio National Guard is opening a free COVID-19 drive-thru testing site in Cleveland on Tuesday.

Testing will be conducted in the garage of the W.O. Walker Building in University Circle, 10524 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. The site will begin testing on Tuesday and will remain open through Sunday, though it will be closed on Christmas Day.

Testing will be done from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. when the site is open.

Attendees do not need an appointment, but will need to register online before arriving at the testing site. Registration can be done online. To register, select "Ohio" and then search for the Walker Center location.

"The testing is free, open to everyone and individuals do not need a doctor’s order to obtain a test. The site will offer PCR tests, and individuals will receive their results in approximately two to three days. Masks are required except when testing is underway," the Ohio Department of Health said.

The site will be supported by the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, but will be staffed by the Ohio National Guard and the Ohio Department of Health. Anyone in need of a COVID-19 test should use this testing facility and should not use the emergency facilities at the Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals.
