Frostbite, Hypothermia Possible With Subzero Temps In Northern OH
With wind chill, conditions outside will feel like -10 or -20, according to forecasts. See how cold your town could get.
CLEVELAND — Much of Ohio will be dangerously cold Thursday morning, according to forecasts.
With wind chills, it will feel between -10 and -20 degrees outside, the National Weather Service warned. Prolonged exposure to that cold could lead to frostbite or hypothermia if precautions are not taken, the agency added.
A wind chill advisory is in place for nearly all of northern Ohio on Thursday. It will remain in place until at least 11 a.m.

Here's how cold different parts of the state were this morning:
- Akron-Canton — -8 degrees
- Burke Lakefront — -6 degrees
- Elyria — -11 degrees
- Findlay — -10 degrees
- Marion — -11 degrees
- Mt. Vernon — -6 degrees
- Toledo Executive — -9 degrees
- Ashtabula — -12 degrees
- Cleveland Hopkins — -7 degrees
- Mansfield — -10 degrees
- Port Clinton — -7 degrees
Conditions could remain dangerously cold past the expiration of the region's wind chill advisory. An overnight low of 18 is expected in much of northern Ohio. Friday's projected high is 18, and the overnight low could dip to 6 degrees. With winds of 10-15 mph expected Thursday night and Friday, conditions could feel even colder.

"Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves," the National Weather Service said.
