1) Lake Catholic High Investigates Swastika-Wearing Player
A lacrosse player for Lake Catholic High School took to the field in a Monday tournament game with a swastika drawn on the back of his leg. A high school photographer captured an image of the Nazi symbol, which was published on cleveland.com Tuesday. A Lake Catholic fan also hurled anti-Semitic slurs at others in the stands at Orange High School in Pepper Pike.

- The Catholic Diocese issued a statement: "The behaviors alleged are reprehensible and contrary to the Gospel values that Lake Catholic works so hard to promote. Lake Catholic is currently conducting an investigation into the matter in order to gather all the facts. Once the investigation is completed, appropriate action will be taken to address the matter."
- Rachel Glazer is the student who photographed the hateful symbol. "I’m Jewish, so it hit pretty close to home. When you see someone come and attack you personally, you take it to heart. It’s crazy how much anti-Semitism is on the rise.”

2) A Frontier Airline flight headed to Phoenix returned to the terminal at Cleveland Hopkins Airport Monday night so three passengers could be removed — an irate woman who began yelling and cursing, her companion, and a Cleveland police detective who was recording video of the tirade.
- The detective is Steve Loomis, former head of the Police Patrolmen's Association, reports 3News WKYC, who said "the chick was out of her mind."
- Cleveland police escorted the three from the plane. As of Tuesday night, no police records had been made available.
3) Someone planted pretty marigolds in a hole in the middle of a brick Euclid Avenue sidewalk in Cleveland. The hole had been there for a while, the city showed no signs of repairing the hole. So, someone decided to pretty it up with flowers and a white-picket border.

4) Check out this police video obtained by Fox 8 News showing Cleveland police confronting a wrong-way driver on the Shoreway. Many wrong-way driver episodes end in tragedy, but police last month managed to stop this driver, who said he was headed home from a bachelor party. His case is still working its way through the courts.
5) Cleveland Browns fullback Johnny Stanton IV said Dr. John Cheng, killed in a mass shooting in Laguna Woods, California, was his primary care physician. Dr. Cheng rushed at the shooter who opened fire on the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church gathering on Sunday. Cheng likely saved many lives as he sacrificed his own.
"Absolute hero," tweeted Stanton, a California native. "He attacked the gunman and helped save so many in that church. I just wanted his name to be known. He will be missed."
