CLEVELAND — Portions of Northeast Ohio could get as much as 12 inches of snow during a winter storm on Friday.

Lake effect conditions will add 1 to 4 inches of snow to previous snowfall expectations, the National Weather Service said. Lake and Geauga counties are most likely to see the added snowfall, though eastern portions of Cuyahoga County could also be impacted.

"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute," the National Weather Service added. Drivers should plan on being the road longer during any trips.
