1) Woof! Cleveland Ranks No. 1 In U.S. For Postal Workers Bit By Dogs

Hello mailman, we meet again! (Shutterstock photo)

Cleveland is the No. 1 city in the nation for dogs biting postal workers. In 2021, 58 dog-bite incidents were reported by the U.S. Postal Service in Cleveland, four more than in Houston, 10 more than Kansas City and 14 more than Los Angeles. (Houston and L.A. are home to more than 3 million people compared to the nearly 400,000 who call the city of Cleveland home.) June 5 to 11 is Dog Bite Awareness Week.

2) For the first time in four years, Cleveland won a series at Camden Yards. The Guardians beat the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday by a score of 3-2. Andrés Giménez hit a three-run homer. Zach Plesac pitched eight strikeouts. The Guardians won two out of three games.

3) The FBI is looking for two people who robbed two banks in less than an hour on Saturday. The first took place at 9:40 a.m. at Citizens Bank in Broadview Heights. Next, the pair showed up at Key Bank in Highland Heights. In both robberies, the culprits passed a note demanding cash, according to the FBI. They wore the same disguises in both robberies. The FBI has a phone line for tips: 1-877-FBI-OHIO.

4) The 2022 Ohio Tree Climbing Competition took place at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland on Saturday. This wasn't child's play, however. The competitors were professional tree workers, who must be skilled enough to rescue someone who may be injured while working in a tree. The winners were Nick Markley of Chardon and Lily Soderlund of Cincinnati, who will move on to international competition in Denmark.

5) Thousands of people turned out for the Pride in the CLE march on Saturday — the first since the pre-pandemic march in 2019 drew 30,000 people. After the march through the downtown, people gathered on Malls B and C for fun and festivities. "I'm seeing the faces and the people and it's just bringing me to tears, honestly, this feeling to see young people, old people, black people, white people, people of color in general being here celebrating who they are," Phyllis Harris, Executive Director of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, told 3News WKYC.
