- A jury convicted 30-year-old Robert Shepard of the aggravated murder of former Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson's grandson. The former mayor was in the courtroom yesterday (Oct. 31) morning when the guilty verdict was read. Shepard killed the 24-year-old victim on Sep. 19, 2021 in Cleveland. (Cleveland 19 News)
- Police are investigating the death of a teenage girl who was discovered on Friday afternoon. Jaiden Rentas, 15, was found in a running vehicle parked in a field by the 3700 block of West 22nd Street around 2:30 p.m. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering from a gunshot wound. (Fox 8)
- Ayesha Bell Hardaway has been appointed the interim manager overseeing the court-enforced Cleveland police reform known as a consent decree. Hardaway was appointed by Senior U.S. District Judge Solomon Oliver. The interim manager will handle day-to-day management until a permanent replacement is appointed. (cleveland.com)
