This Delicious Heck's Burger Is Coming To The East Side

1) Heck's Cafe and its "legendary burger" are coming to Beachwood this fall, reports dining expert Douglas Trattner. The restaurant will take the space formerly occupied by Blu. "I wasn’t actively looking for another spot," owner Fadi Daoud told Trattner, "but this came out of nowhere and it made sense. It’s on the east side, it’s not in a big box shopping center, and I think that area needs it." There are Heck's in Ohio City and Avon.
2) The fabled Browns jersey of starting quarterback names is going to get a few more stitched on this season — the Browns reportedly are considering Jimmy Garoppolo after all. If Deshaun Watson's suspension goes beyond six games, the Browns could trade for the NFC Championship-winning QB the San Francisco 49ers want to unload. Career journeyman Jacoby Brissett is currently penciled in behind Watson. And three weeks ago the Browns signed Josh Rosen, a 2018 first rounder who's trying to revive his career.

3) University Hospitals wants to close its community hospital in Bedford on Friday, but the city of Bedford went to court Thursday for a restraining order to stop this. The community hospital has served Bedford for almost a century. University Hospitals, citing a nurse shortage, says it can't maintain inpatient services there. The facility would stay open for outpatient care. The city claims the closure is tantamount to "racial discrimination" because it would deprive majority African-American neighborhoods of accessible healthcare.
4) The Post Office in Cleveland is hosting job application workshops every Thursday this month at 2200 Orange Ave. The USPS is hiring for tractor-trailer drivers, rural carrier associates, mail handler assistants, city carrier assistants and postal support staff in roles that pay between $17.32 and $27.52 an hour. As many as 300 positions are available.
5) A shortage of carbon dioxide is worrying craft breweries in the Cleveland area. Matt Cole, owner of Fat Head's Brewery in North Olmsted, put it simply: "Without CO2, we can't make beer." He says they ordered 14 tons recently and only received five. The shortage, caused by contamination of a CO2 source and pandemic-related supply chain issues, is causing the prices to rise, too.

Ohio FBI Attacker Killed By Police After Long Standoff
The attacker appears to have been an active user of Truth Social and to have called for violence on the platform in recent days after the FBI executed a search warrant at President Trump's Florida estate. Ricky Shiffer encouraged fellow Truth Social users to "be ready for combat," "respond with force" and "kill the FBI on sight."
