Nic Barlage Named New CEO Of Cavs And Related Entities
Barlage also will lead Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and Rock Entertainment Group. He replaces Len Komoroski, who recently stepped down.

CLEVELAND, OH —As the Cleveland Cavaliers attempt the extend their season on the court, the organization made some off-the-court news Tuesday, announcing that Nic Barlage has been named Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and Rock Entertainment Group.
Barlage will replace former CEO Len Komoroski, who announced last week that he would step away from the position at the end of the Cavs season. Komoroski has been with the organization for 19 years.
Barlage spent five years with the Cavs from 2008 to 2014 —where he was vice president of Sales and Service —then he rejoined the organization in 2017 as president of Business Operations. He was named COO for Rock Entertainment group when it was established in 2021.

Rock Entertainment Group was formed by Rock Ventures, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to serve as an "umbrella entity" formally linking "multiple sports, venues, music, and content properties together to better position them collectively for collaboration, growth and new opportunities," according to the company.
During his time away from Cleveland, Barlage spent three years with the NBA's Phoenix Suns as that organization's senior vice president and chief sales officer.

"It is an absolute honor and privilege to have the opportunity to lead the business operations for a dynamic organization that shares such a special bond with our community and partners," Barlage said about his new role with the Cavs. "We look forward to an exciting future and building on the strong foundation that Len Komoroski and all of our hard-working team members, past and present, helped establish. We will continue to strive for outcomes that make our team, fans and partners proud.”
Cavs chairman Dan Gilbert said the organization was excited about elevating Barlage to CEO, where he will lead a team of people across the organization.
"The Cavaliers are in excellent position for high-level success both on and off the court. This is in large part due to the caliber of people, like Nic, that are leading, collaborating and growing our relationships and business across every aspect of Rock Entertainment Group and the Cavs organization," Gilbert said.
"Nic is both an exceptional, community-minded leader and a great teammate. For several years now, he has been at the core of decision-making, innovation and growth for the Cavaliers and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, and we are very pleased to have him at the helm of our business operations group while we all look forward to continuing the great momentum that has been established."
Barlage is a 2006 graduate of Saint John's University in Minnesota.
