Northern Ohio Recovery Association Receives Prestigious CARF Accreditation
Designation Cements Its Leadership in Whole-Person Recovery Workforce Development

CLEVELAND – June 27, 2025 – The Northern Ohio Recovery Association (NORA), a leading service provider for individuals with chemical dependency, has received a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its recovery services. This accreditation distinguishes NORA as a leading organization committed to the highest standards in behavioral health care, person-centered programming, and measurable outcomes.
CARF accreditation is based on an extensive review process to determine if programs and services meet rigorous international quality standards. The organization’s consultative peer-review process promotes community impact and health outcomes.
The accreditation was granted after an extensive review of NORA’s operations. CARF accreditation is a symbol of quality and excellence recognized worldwide. This independent evaluation confirms that NORA meets or exceeds international standards for delivery, organizational management and continuous improvement.

“This reaffirms our organization’s commitment to effective whole-person care that extends well beyond chemical dependence,” said NORA President and CEO Anita Bradley. “Our services include a wide range of ancillary support, including workforce development, crisis intervention, family support, food distribution, medication-assisted treatment, abuse prevention, residential and sober housing, case management, intensive outpatient program and workforce development. We believe these wraparound services are what makes us so effective.”
“Effectively treating addiction requires much more than addressing the dependency alone,” Bradley added. “Addiction is usually one part of a larger set of challenges. Each one needs to be addressed.”
