Ohio Gov. John Kasich Won't Be Attending the Republican National Convention in Cleveland

"I have not endorsed Trump. So if I have not endorsed him, then that leaves everything up in the air," says Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he plans to be in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention, but he won't necessarily attend.

ideastream.org reports that Kasich will arrive in Cleveland on the Sunday before the RNC and leave on Thursday, the day Trump is expected to accept the nomination.

When asked about whether he would be speaking at the RNC, Kasich said that is “unlikely to happen,” however, he wishes Trump well.

Regarding the vow he made to support whomever the Republican nominee would be, Kasich had this to say:

"You know, you know it is sometimes difficult," said Kasich. "You have to examine your conscience about the fact when you make a commitment sometimes circumstances dramatically change and you have to reassess."

The Ohio governor was a bit cagey about whether or not he planned to vote for Trump, saying, "I have not endorsed him. So if I have not endorsed him, then that leaves everything up in the air."
