Part Of I-77 South Closing Overnight

Crews are replacing overhead signs, which will close part of the highway overnight.

CLEVELAND — Even as winter approaches, construction season continues to disrupt commutes and travel plans throughout northern Ohio.

On Monday night, part of I-77 south will be closed to traffic. The closure will take place between I-90 and I-490 and will start at 10 p.m.

The closure will continue through 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation will be doing overhead sign replacement, prompting the closure.

Drivers who need to use that route will be detoured along E. 14th Street south to Orange Avenue east to E. 30th Street south to Broadway Avenue east, back to I-77 south.
