1. ‘Potential threat' grounds Hopkins flights, though scare unfounded (cleveland.com) — A brief ground stop at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Wednesday followed an investigated but unfounded security threat, delaying dozens of flights and canceling two. Officials say there is no danger to the public and that normal operations have resumed after the precautionary response.
   

2. New seasonal shelter offers winter relief for Cleveland's homeless (news5cleveland.com) — Cleveland’s Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless is opening a new seasonal shelter off East 19th Street, offering 40–45 beds, hot meals, and support services starting Jan. 5. Aimed at people living in tents across the city, the shelter will operate every November through April to provide winter safety and connect guests to long-term housing resources.
