Here are the top three stories in Cleveland today:

  1. Cleveland police are changing several policies due to the police killing of George Floyd during a protest in 2020. The procedures are aimed at changing the way police handle mass protests and come as a part of the police reform agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice. (cleveland.com)
  2. A 30-year-old Elyria man confessed to killing his former foster brother and will serve 20 years to life in prison. Antonio Sprinkle tracked down and killed 27-year-old Antwan Dormendo who he shared a foster family. Sprinkle carried a steak knife with him to rob or stab Dormendo, who he believed burglarized his apartment and peed on his mattress. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. COVID-19 cases are once again increasing in Cleveland, especially hospitalizations. According to the Ohio Department of Health, about 10 percent of the state got the updated bivalent booster. The increase in cases comes at cold and flu season when hospitals fight three fronts: COVID-19, RSV, and influenza admissions. (Cleveland 19 News)

Are you a Cleveland resident looking for an investment alternative to the stock market? Consider fine art. Masterworks is the award-winning platform helping 575,000+ invest in works by the same world-renowned artists that are coveted by ultra-wealthy collectors and major museums alike (think Picasso, Basquiat, and Banksy.) Masterworks splits these multi-million dollar works into shares, so you can invest without breaking the bank.

Contemporary art has outpaced the stock market by a whopping 131% over the last 26 years. Seven of Masterworks’ eight sold paintings gave their investors a +17.8% net returns*.
