Ramp To I-480 East Temporarily Closing

INDEPENDENCE, OH — A ramp connecting I-77 north to I-480 will be temporarily closed Thursday night and early Friday, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.

The ramp from I-77 to I-480 east will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. Crews will doing bridge work during the closure, ODOT said.

Drivers who usually use that ramp during the closure will instead be detoured along I-77 north to I-480 west to Granger Road, back to I-480 east.

This ramp closure is part of a bridge rehabilitation project on SR 21, over I-480 in Independence. The entire project should be completed in June 2023.
