Road Work That Could Impact Your Weekend Plans In Northeast Ohio
Bridge repairs, lane restrictions, traffic pattern changes...be prepared for the coming changes.
CLEVELAND — Bridge repairs could disrupt your travel plans this weekend in Northeast Ohio.
As road work season grinds to a slow close, there are still projects around Cuyahoga County that ODOT crews are eager to finish before the first chill of the season.

Here are the lane closures, restrictions and projects that could disrupt your weekend plans:
- I-77 north and south to I-490 west — Closing at 7 p.m. on Friday and remaining closed through Monday at 6 a.m. while crews do pavement repairs.
- Detour going north — Broadway Avenue to Rockefeller Avenue to I-490
- Detour going south — E. 30th north to Woodland Avenue west to E. 14th Street to Orange Avenue to Broadway Avenue to Rockefeller Avenue to I-490
- Mastic Road over I-480 — Closing Monday and remaining closed through November for bridge repairs, ODOT said.
- Detour — W. 220th to Lorain Road to W. 210th
- Transportation Boulevard over I-480 — Starting Tuesday, traffic will be moved to the west side of the bridge. This traffic pattern will remain in place through spring 2022. Traffic will be maintained with two lanes going both directions.
- Whitney Road over I-71 — Bridge repairs will create lane restrictions starting Monday and continuing through Oct. 15.
