Rocky River Police Ask for Public's Help in Finding Man That Assaulted Priest

Have you seen this man? Rocky River police say he attacked a priest during confession on June 11th.

Rocky River police are looking for a man resembling the police sketch shown above.

The man requested confession from a clergy member and during the confession, he pulled out a small handgun and assaulted the priest, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s, with pale skin and jet black, shoulder-length hair parted in the center; hair is probably dyed. He was wearing black “skinny” jeans, black canvas shoes with white trim, and a silver hoop pierced through his nostril. A cross tattoo is visible on his left forearm.

Police and the Cleveland Catholic Diocese sent the following to clergy at local churches:

Clergy at churches in the Cleveland Metropolitan area should pay special attention for anyone matching the description of this suspect and notify local police immediately if anyone matching the description is seen. As always, clergy and other church members should be aware of their personal safety and practical crime prevention methods.
