CLEVELAND — A 28-year-old woman was shot to death in her Cleveland apartment building on Saturday.
In a complex off of E. 79th, at 7:20 a.m., police were asked to investigate reports of gunshots. When officers arrived, they found the woman on the second floor landing. She had been shot in the chest.
Cleveland Fire gave the woman first aid until EMS rushed her to University Hospitals, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The woman's children were in the apartment complex during the shooting, but were not hurt, police said. They were later released into the care of a relative.
Investigators believe the 28-year-old was in an argument with one of her neighbors earlier that morning. The neighbor — a 30-year-old woman — shot the 28-year-old and then retreated to her own apartment, police said.
