Shots Fired at Galleria in Downtown Cleveland, Officer Involved
A street robbery ended at the Galleria after shots were fired.

CLEVELAND, OH — A Cuyahoga County Protective Services Division officer returned fire on a suspect at the Galleria at Erieview this morning around 8 a.m. The suspect was involved in a street robbery that initiated on Lakeside and E. 12th. He then fled into the Galleria when the officer intervened, according to wkyc.com.
Multiple shots were fired and the suspect was struck in the leg. Police say that the suspect was conscious and breathing before being transported to Metrohealth. The Protective Services officer did not sustain any injuries. Employees at the ATT building next door were on lockdown after the incident according to reports online.
Cuyahoga County Protective Services officers provide security for buildings owned by the county and do not have full arrest powers.
