'Slick' Roads, Sidewalks Pose Threat In Northeast Ohio: Forecast
Rain fell overnight. Temperatures plummeted. Now, drivers and pedestrians face slippery streets and sidewalks.
CLEVELAND — Overnight rain left many of Northeast Ohio's roads and sidewalks slippery on Thursday morning.
"Light precipitation overnight has resulted in slick spots on untreated surfaces this morning. Motorists should use caution, especially on bridges, overpasses, and untreated roadways where icing may be more likely. Pedestrians should also be alert for slick conditions on untreated sidewalks and parking lots," the National Weather Service warned.
There's a chance of additional precipitation on Thursday morning, according to forecasts. Temperatures will be cold enough that a dusting of snow is possible between 10 a.m. and noon, but could become rain in the afternoon as conditions warm.
