SWAT Standoff: Suspect Found Dead Inside Cleveland Home
Two people are dead after a shooting on Cleveland's east side on Thursday.
CLEVELAND — After an hours-long SWAT standoff, a barricaded man was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on Thursday.
At 2:30 p.m., Cleveland police were called to E. 124th for reports of gunshots. Officers arrived and found a woman on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to her chest. She was declared dead on the scene, police said.
An armed suspect was tracked to a locked home nearby. The SWAT team was then called to the scene and surrounded the home.

At 10:30 p.m., eight hours after officers first arrived, SWAT entered the barricaded home and found the suspect dead. He had apparently shot himself in the head, police said.
