TONIGHT: Help Clean Up Downtown Cleveland Following the Cavs Parade
The Cavs Parade was awesome, but now there's an awesome mess to clean up. One group has organized a clean-up effort for tonight.

An event has been posted on Facebook calling out to the Cleveland running community to help clean up downtown Cleveland after the Cavs Championship parade.
See the details below and please share this with others.
OK, Cleveland running community. Invite your friends and invite your peers! CALL TO ACTION. After yesterday's CAVS parade, downtown is an absolute mess of trash and overloaded garbage cans. While we do suspect city workers will begin cleanup (and yes, they get paid for it) we feel it right to give back and offer a hand (with gloves) to clean up! We had a blast yesterday, we're able bodied, no reason we can't help out and have some fun doing so!Tonight, with parking in mind, we'll meet at the West Side Market parking lot at 6:30pm and run over Lorain-Carnegie bridge (which also has a ton of trash on it) and then split up into two groups: One group will follow the parade route east on Carnegie and left on E.9th St. The other will turn left onto Ontario and head straight to the Convention Center to ensure we hit all aspects of clean up.
First and foremost, consider wearing gloves. We'll also have hand sanitizer bottles for those that want to grab one.
Secondly, IF YOU CAN bring trash bags and blue recycling bags (not sure the city will actually recycle but it's at least worth a shot to give them the opportunity). Obviously, trash goes in black bags and recyclables go into blue bags.
***We'll absolultey need more blue bags than black so if you can, PLEASE bring your own. We will supply some as well!
Finally, feel free to drop the bag where you fill it. We've done our part with collecting tash and we'll let the city properly dispose of it!
Hope to get a good turnout! THANK YOU!
