4) After 28 years in prison, a judge told Charles Jackson on Monday that he was wrongfully convicted for murder and attempted murder of drug dealers in a case for which there was no evidence against him. Jackson was convicted solely on the testimony of one person. That witness told police she didn't actually see the killer, but police hid that evidence from the defense back in 1991. Jackson is now entitled to more than $50,000 for each year he was wrongly imprisoned.
