WATCH: Not a Stereotype - Cops and Doughnuts at the Republican National Convention

Cops and Doughnuts are real cops and real doughnuts from Clare, Michigan, and they came to Cleveland to show their support at the RNC.

CLEVELAND, OH — Security for last week's Republican National Convention was a collaborative effort with multiple agencies and police forces helping out from all over the country. One police department from Clare, Michigan, had something unique about them.

Cops and Doughnuts in Clare, Michigan is an actual bakery owned by actual cops. The Clare City Bakery opened in 1896 and came upon hard times in 2009, the police force knew something had to be done to save it, so the police officers pooled together and bought the bakery. The bakery is now known as the Cops & Doughnuts Bakery and has become quite a tourist attraction.
