WWE Star 'The Miz' To Announce Browns Pick At NFL Draft

CLEVELAND, OH —World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) revealed Thursday that wrestler and Parma native Mike "The Miz" Mizanin will be announcing the top draft pick for his beloved Cleveland Browns at next week's NFL Draft.

The draft takes place April 28-30 in Las Vegas, and the Browns' first pick currently is in the second round (No. 44 overall).

The Miz — also known at times as "The A-Lister "— said he is thrilled to represent his hometown team.

As someone who grew up a huge Browns fan, the opportunity to play a small part in the future of the franchise is a dream come true. This is going to be AWESOME," Mizanin said.

The Miz isn't the only wrestling star who will take part in the event. Titus O'Neil will be announcing picks for his hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Miz has been vocal about his Browns love over the years. In 2021, he went on TV and predicted the team was going to the Super Bowl. He's also posted photos of him and his kids decked out in Browns gear preparing to watch Browns games.

"Our team has always enjoyed working with The Miz, and we are excited for him to have this opportunity to be part of the draft and celebrate the weekend with Browns fans in Las Vegas, Northeast Ohio and across the globe," said Brent Rossi, the Browns senior vice president of Marketing & Media. "(The Miz) has an incredible energy that matches his passion for the Browns, and we know that he will represent our team, our fans and our shared hometown of Cleveland well."

The draft will air on the NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.
