Armed Men Break Into Heights Home, Rob Residents: Police
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, a group of armed men broke into a Cleveland Heights home and robbed the residents.
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — A group of armed men broke into a Cleveland Heights home and robbed the residents on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
The robbery happened at a home on Montford Road at 8:20 p.m. Several armed men got into the house, fired "a few" shots and robbed the residents, Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg said. No one was shot but one resident was hurt during the robbery.
Investigators believe the house was specifically targeted by the armed men.

"Preliminary investigation indicates that this was not a random act of violence and that the victims were targeted as is the case in the majority of crimes of this nature. Detectives are investigating and we will provide updates when they become available," Mecklenburg said in a statement on Friday.
