Cleveland Heights, OH, December 8, 2021 -Β Cleveland Heights continues to move forward with transformative redevelopment projects throughout the City. On Monday, December 6, Cleveland Heights City Council unanimously authorized the City Manager to enter into a Development Agreement for the redevelopment of the Cedar-Lee-Meadowbrook (CLM) site, a potentially catalytic mixed-use development site currently owned by the City. The development team for the project will beΒ The Cedar-Lee-Meadowbrook site is located on land consisting of surface and covered parking areas and vacant land situated in the heart of the Cedar Lee District. This dynamic, pedestrian-oriented area is one of the City's largest and most vibrant commercial districts. Cedar Lee features an impressive variety of locally-owned stores, restaurants, and businesses, as well as cultural assets including the renowned Cedar Lee Theatre, which is adjacent to the CLM development site, Dobama Theater, and the City's own cultural gem, Cain Park. "City Council's action last evening was a major step forward to developing this site, which has been a goal of the City for almost two decades,β noted City Manager Susanna Niermann O'Neil. "This mixed-use development leverages the existing assets of the Cedar Lee District and further strengthens it as a destination that will attract new residents, visitors and businesses to the City."
