Judge temporarily blocks Ohio from using $600M in unclaimed funds for Browns stadium (wdtn.com) — A Franklin County judge in Columbus has temporarily stopped Ohio from shifting $600 million in unclaimed funds toward a new Cleveland Browns stadium, at least until Jan. 8. The ruling stems from a class action lawsuit arguing the move violates constitutional protections, and it pauses part of a 2026 state budget plan that could redirect $1.7 billion in unclaimed money.
   

2. Crime of the Week: police seeking information on a 2021 homicide (abc6onyourside.com) — Columbus police and Central Ohio Crime Stoppers are asking for tips to solve the 2021 shooting death of Dustin S.
