Activities and online programs are geared for different age groups: families with young children who need assistance, kids in grades 1-6 who need minimal assistance, and teens who work independently. For the July TALES theme, the online programs are:

Virtual Storytelling Workshop - Tuesday, July 27, 6 - 7 pm

Author and professional storyteller Lindsay Bonilla demonstrates her craft and teaches the art of good storytelling. Brainstorm different story components and put them together to create new stories to share with friends and family! (Families)

Teen Creative Writing Workshop - Wednesday, July 28, 7 - 8 pm

Award winning poet and author Sierra Leone introduces teens to new skills and creative opportunities through the creative process. Join this interactive virtual workshop to learn how to get inspiration, overcome writer's block, and find your voice. (Grades 7-12)

The Tale Of Possum's Tail - Thursday, July 29, 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Mama O (local storyteller Omope Carter Daboiku) tells a folktale inspired by the Great Migration of African Americans who left the South for new opportunities in the North. The tale may reflect our past, but the lesson remains powerful today - to thy own self be true! (All ages)
