Melissa Ann Patterson

Obituary

Melissa Ann Patterson, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the age of 19 with complications from diabetes. Melissa was born in Weston, West Virginia, on September 13, 2006. From a young age, she demonstrated a remarkable capacity for compassion, consistently putting the happiness of others before her own. Her selflessness and genuine concern for those around her endeared her to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Melissa was a resident of Marietta, Ohio. She worked in the kitchen of her family’s restaurant, Levee House Bistro, where she enjoyed cooking and baking with her father, especially desserts. Melissa enjoyed reading, art projects, watching cartoons, fishing, and spending cherished moments with her family. Her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving parents, Casey and Tommy Hickey, and her birth mother, Amanda Radabaugh. Melissa was a devoted sister to Alicia Facemire (Ashton), Kendra Facemire (Liam), Risé Hickey, Jeffrey Patterson (Bailey), and Trey Hickey. She was also a proud aunt to two nephews and a niece. Her loyal canine companions, Katniss and Baby Girl, will miss her dearly.

Melissa was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sandra Bywater, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at the MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME in Marietta, Ohio, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm.
