WSCC Dean of Student Success Kathy Temple-Miller described Express Registration is an opportunity for students to meet with a Success Coach who will help them realize their career aspirations and develop a clear strategy for success. The coaches will provide personal advising, register assistance, as well as answer transfer and career questions.

"This event can answer the most important questions and assure students that their program is the right choice,” said Temple-Miller. Common questions asked include: How much will I make? How long will it take to earn my degree? How much does it cost to go to college?

“College enrollment isn't a mystery,” assured Temple-Miller. She explained that Express Registration is an opportunity for applicants to experience the strong support given to every student. It also provides the chance to make the initial connection with those who will be vital in helping them overcome the logistical and academic challenges they may face during their academic experience. “We make the transition to WSCC seamless by providing career advice, and strong academic support,” Temple Miller added.

Representatives from the financial aid department will also be on hand to answer questions and help students file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Additionally, they will provide details about several new assistance programs offered by the college including the Community Impact Grant and the COVID Emergency Grant, funds established to help students who have been financially affected by the pandemic. “There’s never been a better time to enroll at WSCC. The amount of funding available to new and returning students is incredible,” Temple-Miller said.
