Mentor Gets a Little Sweeter with New Nothing Bundt Cakes

Local owners excited to create opportunities for their team while sharing joy with community

Janette and Dennis Looney, who own Nothing Bundt Cakes in South Euclid, Avon and Strongsville, are excited to open in Mentor to continue sharing the joy. “We have many guests who drive to our South Euclid bakery who have been asking for us to open closer to them,” said Mr. Looney. “We are pleased to be able to share joy with more people and to provide opportunities for our teams…our goal is to create careers for those looking for more than a job.” Ms. Looney, who dreamt of owning a Nothing Bundt Cakes before marrying, says, “This is my happy place. Creating special moments daily and giving back to the community make every day sweet.” The Looneys will celebrate with grand opening festivities the week of October 24. In addition to hosting a benefit day for Forbes House, the bakery will celebrate with a ribbon cutting and community event (see details below).

The bakery will host events all week, Monday through Sunday, including 25% off retail and spinning the prize wheel all week, plus these special events:

  • Monday, October 24
    • 4:30-6 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting with the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Saturday, October 29
    • 10 a.m. – Free Bundtlets for a Year for First 50 Guests!
    • 10 a.m.-7 p.m. – Forbes House Benefit Day – 20% of sales will be donated to this organization that is empowering individuals and families to end the cycle of domestic abuse.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is located at 6990 Heisley Road and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. This is the 6th bakery in the Cleveland area and 7th in the Cleveland-Canton market with others in South Euclid, Avon, Strongsville, Fairlawn, Stow and Canton. The luscious cakes are baked in-house and are made with the finest ingredients, including real eggs, butter and cream cheese, in 40 unique designs and 10 delicious flavors.
