Staffing Challenges Prompt Shift To Remote Learning In Mentor

The Mentor Schools moved to remote learning on Monday and Tuesday due to staffing problems.

MENTOR, OH — The Mentor Schools shifted to a remote learning model on Monday and Tuesday due to staffing challenges.

According to the district's COVID-19 dashboard, there are 36 active, positive COVID-19 cases among Mentor Schools staff. There are an additional 142 active COVID-19 cases among Mentor students.

Half of the positive staff cases come from Mentor High (12 cases) and Memorial Middle Schools (6 cases). Other cases were spread throughout school building and administrative facilities.

The Mentor Schools will start winter break on Wednesday. Classes are set to resume Jan. 4, 2022.
