Former Westlake Student Has Dates in Court for Assault, Rape, Kidnapping

Deandrew Smith, 18 was arrested last week for assaulting another 17 year-old student last week, his bond was continued after a court appearance on Tuesday reports fox8.com. A video of the fight at Westlake High School was released on Twitter last week. The victim in the fight suffered severe head injuries after Smith slammed his head on the concrete bathroom floor. The victim was hospitalized for several days and is now recovering at home.

However, the assault at Westlake High School is not Smith's only problem, he had another court appearance scheduled for Wednesday morning on kidnapping and rape charges, this time in juvenile court.

Smith was placed on home detention which only allows him to leave the house for anything related to his assault case where he was charged as an adult, church and medical appointments. Smith is no longer a Westlake High School student and he is not to have contact with the two victims according to fox8.com.
