• Westlake police arrest OVI suspect accused of damaging utility pole in North Ridgeville (cleveland.com) — Westlake police recently arrested a driver suspected of OVI after witnesses reported a GMC truck hitting utility poles in North Ridgeville and then entering Westlake near Center Ridge and Bradley roads. The 64-year-old man, who has multiple prior OVI convictions, refused both medical treatment and a breath test, and now faces new impaired-driving-related charges.

• Connecting for Kids offers free programs in January (morningjournal.com) — Families in Westlake can take advantage of two free January programs from Connecting for Kids, including a Neurodivergent Caregivers Meetup at Westlake Porter Public Library on Jan. 27.
