- The Tulsa Fire Department was called to South Mingo Road after a cement truck turned over on Monday. Authorities say the truck exited the eastbound Creek Turnpike at a high rate of speed and hit a median, causing the truck to turn over. The driver of the truck incurred minor injuries but is expected to be okay. (KRMG)
- A former Tulsa police officer has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the 2014 killing of his daughter’s boyfriend. 61-year-old Shannon Kepler was also ordered by a judge to pay restitution to cover the cost of a headstone for victim Jeremey Lake, who was 19 years old when Kepler killed him. The trial was Kepler’s fifth in the case. (Public Radio Tulsa)
- A new program is being launched to help veterans in Tulsa. Fit First Responders, a program that has been helping police and EMTs in Tulsa since 2015, is now reaching out to help veterans too. The new program, "Fit for Duty, Fit for Life" will feature a 12-week challenge that includes workouts, nutrition coaching, support, and personal development. (KOKI FOX 23)
