Po(u)rtland is home to many a craft beer; the community is strong and the beer doesn't stop flowing. Whether you're a hipster or a health nut, Portland is hoppin' with hearty home brews and classic craft beers.
- Breakside Brewery opened its doors in 2010 and since then has been expanding its operation. Currently boasting a 24 tap tasting room, Breakside took home the sought after Gold Medal for American Style IPA in 2014. Check out some of their specialty bottles and pick a few you'd like to try ahead of time-their popular 'Lunch Break' IPA is a favorite among local patrons.

- Hopworks Urban Brewery prides itself on the unique approach it takes to brewing beer. It's a family owned and operated establishment that prioritizes using locally harvested, organic hops. - Upright Brewing focuses on combing influences from German and French culture in the beer it brews. Their farmhouse style ales are unique to the Pacific Northwest, and the names of these brews are pretty straightforward. A few local favorites: Four (farmhouse wheat); Five (hoppy saison); Six (dark rye); Seven (strong saison).
