Blazers Win First Of Season Despite Off Night From Lillard

After a disappointing season-opening loss, the Blazers came back and beat last year's West Conference champions.

PORTLAND, OR —Two games in, the Trail Blazers are back at 500. Portland trounced the reigning Western Conference champions, 154-105.

It was a statement for Portland, which opened the season losing to the Sacramento Kings after a winless preseason.

Damian Lillard, who got off to a rough start in the first game, missing all nine of his attempts from downtown, played just 24 minutes and sat out the fourth quarter. He ended up with 19 points.

CJ McCollum led the team with 28 points. He also led the team against Sacramento with 40 points.

After opening the season with two games at home, the Blazers hit the road, playing the Clippers in Los Angeles on Monday night.
