Hundreds of Club youth and teens were surprised with newly donated sports equipment, shoes and clothing, while experiencing a wide variety of engaging activities at the Prep Rally; hosted at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Wattles/Lionel Clegg Club. The event was part of a massive operation of more than 280 adidas volunteers and Club staff who ran each activation area including a try on station, adidas shoe decorating, sports coaching space, and more.

This community event demonstrated the collective efforts of corporate partners, such as adidas, and community volunteers in enhancing the experience and well-being of youth nationwide. For back-to-school season, the “Raise Your Hand” campaign brought together nearly 20 dedicated partners that support Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s mission through diverse initiatives. These included product donations, round-up programs, direct contributions, and “Prep Rally” style kickoff events. The goal is to engage communities and generate excitement as students return to school. adidas has been a big supporter of the Raise Your Hand initiative and this community engagement in Portland is another example of how the partnership is giving back to youth.
Additionally, adidas is continuing its giving to Club youth in-store where shoppers, at any location, can opt to round up when at the register or on the adidas phone app, adiClub® members are invited to donate membership points, which will be matched by adidas up to $100,000.
